1. General Instructional Objectives (教育目標)

This course will help students understand interpersonal communication processes and become more effective and confident communicators. Each student will also strive to achieve her own personal communication goals.

2. Specific Behavioral Objectives (個別課題)

  1. Gain confidence in interpersonal encounters.
  2. Understand interpersonal processes.
  3. Recognize nonverbal communication patterns.
  4. Improve listening skills and show empathy.
  5. Improve speaking and self-disclosure skills.
  6. Recognize and cope with ethical dilemmas.

3. Learning Strategies (教育・学習の方法)

  1. Each class will include a lecture and writing.
  2. We will use KNDU e-mail and the Web.
  3. I will prepare a weekly podcast (audio).
  4. Students will send e-mail about the podcast.
  5. Report: a 500-word case study in English.
