The 2025 annual conference of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT)

The 2025 annual conference of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) was held at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in early November.
The theme was “Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessing – JALT 50 Years – Challenges and Perspectives.

I presented a poster titled “Empowering First-Year Japanese University Students via ChatGPT” in collaboration with Omer Massoud and Robert Cvitkovic sensei. From Notre Dame University, Isabel Hook sensei and Dan King sennsei also attended the conference. This year, there were again a significant number of presentations focusing on artificial intelligence.
