■Global English Course
While fostering solid language and communication skills and an appreciation of diverse cultures, this course helps women develop the skills to respond flexibly to a global society by conducting most subjects in English.
■English and Liberal Arts Course
In addition to a solid English ability, students study specialty topics in depth which includes cultures, languages, and literature from English-speaking countries. We offer a variety of exchange programs, and students can study abroad based on their goals.
Department of Japanese and Global Cultures
■Japanese Language and Culture ■Global Culture
Students thoroughly investigate the Japanese language, history, and culture through studying various world cultures, art, and perspectives. In the International Tourism Program, students learn and practice cross-cultural understanding and international exchange within Kyoto— the center of Japanese culture. There are a variety of other unique programs, including the Speech Communication Program. In this, students learn how to engage and negotiate with others, and also understand universally accepted attitudes and behaviours.
